Booking
Appointments are booked by WhatsApp at +55 19 99297-0529 or by phone at +55 19 3252-2024, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 6 pm (Brasília time), except holidays. The practice does not accept health insurance; the fee is given when you book. Please ask about the consultation language when booking.
The first appointment
The first appointment is a full psychiatric assessment: reason for seeking care, history of symptoms, life history, physical health, current medications and previous tests. Bring prescriptions, medical reports and test results you have. Sharing all relevant information, without leaving out signs and symptoms, makes the most of the visit. At the end, Dr. Petrus explains the diagnosis or working hypotheses, the treatment options and what to expect from each one.
Follow-up
The timing of the next visit is set at the end of each appointment. If you need a different interval, that is the moment to say so, so the plan can be adjusted.
Prescriptions
A prescription follows from the consultation; it is not an end in itself. To prescribe, the doctor needs to reassess benefits and side effects, the treatment schedule and guidance, and the consultation is the right place for that. As a general rule, Dr. Petrus Raulino does not issue prescriptions outside appointments or by phone request. Each prescription is planned to last until the next review.
Video consultations
Video consultations (telepsychiatry) have the same confidentiality as in-person visits and are offered when Dr. Petrus considers them safe and appropriate for the case. Please note:
- Remote care has limits, such as no full physical examination
- You should be in a quiet, private place
- The consultation may not be recorded or shared without authorization
- If the connection fails, the appointment is rescheduled
- Some prescriptions for controlled medications require a paper copy under Brazilian rules (Anvisa)
Email, WhatsApp and social media
Email, WhatsApp and social media are useful for booking and information but do not replace a medical consultation. These messages are handled by the practice team, directly supervised by Dr. Petrus and respecting confidentiality and privacy.
